Regional EHS Manager /EHS Director

Shanghai BurmingNash Consulting is a leading provider of HR Consulting Services, we provide professional service within the industry and focuses in Shanghai. Now we are looking for an Regional EHS Manager or Director level for a world leading US Company for Chemical Industry in Shanghai.This position will directly report to China Managing Director and have an EHS team to manage in mainland China.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establishing, implementing and maintenance of EHS management system;
• Organize EHS Risk Identification & Assessment for the potential hazards through Job Safety Analysis, Process Safety Management, PPE assessment, Environmental Aspect Matrix, annual risk prioritization etc. and tracking the implementing of recommended actions;
• Develop and implement a strong EHS performance culture throughout the organization with all levels of employees through communication processes, EHS Process gap analysis, effective training solutions, EHS performance appraisal;
• Establish and implement the relevant EHS procedures to be compliance with EHS requirements and local EHS laws & regulations;
• Tracking and follow up to close the EHS inspection findings at different level, i.e. Corporate EHS audit, AP regional EHS assessment, regular site inspection, etc;
• Follow up and monitoring EHS KPI;
• Be responsible for EHS related governments' liaison, to maintain the EHS permits and regulation conformance monitoring and investigation by governments;
• Implement outsourced EHS services control, including outsourced warehouse, hazardous waste disposal etc;
• Track the EHS legislation systematically to study & document the applicability and gaps; update the
• Fire fighting system maintains to fulfill company and regulation requirements.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, safety, engineering, environment or related;
• Good Command of English and excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• 10 years + working experience responsible for EHS function, more than 5 years as a Manager position.
• Familiar with formula based production, China EH&S law and regulations;
• Project Safety management and Process Safety management will be preferred.
