Role Summary/Purpose

Perform research in the next generation medical X-ray and CT system technologies • Develop and perform research to enhance the current X-ray and CT product capabilities • Present research at conferences, publish in leading journals, develop patent disclosures • Execute on research programs in X-ray and CT system and application.

Essential Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities • Develop novel X-ray and CT system concepts. Work with GE global teams to enhance the current X-ray and CT product capabilities. • Develop system models and identify and implement image quality improvement and new product modeling/design/evaluation. • Initiate new concepts to reduce product cost by innovative system designs. • Understand the current market needs, state-of-art technology in X-ray imaging and CT, and clinical applications • Develop prototype X-ray and CT systems hardware with mechanical and electronics groups. Other Responsibilities Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance and Expectations: To ensure your 100% compliance with the Safe Production Law of P.R. China and with GE's EHS Policy (20.3), all CTC employees must: understand and comply with CTC's EHS Policy, safety instructions and established job specific safety procedures and rules; correctly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE); obey PPE signals; complete applicable EHS training; participate in accident, injury & illness prevention activities; enhance their knowledge of risk mitigation and emergency response skills ; and timely report near-miss cases, unsafe conditions and acts.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Ph.D. in Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineer or other related fields • Experience in physics and/or algorithm research and development for X-ray or CT imaging systems • Demonstrated expertise in at least one area related to X-ray or CT imaging system: Transportation and detection physics, CT algorithm or clinical applications • The candidate must have passion for performing research in X-ray and CT imaging, and have strong desire to seek a R& D career in medical imaging systems.• Strong interpersonal skills. Self-starter & self-motivator, independent thinker, proactive problem solver • Able to learn quickly and to generate innovative ideas • Strong analytical skills • Ability to work across all functions/levels as part of a global team
