职位概述

The Lead Firmware Designer will be responsible for providing technical leadership to a firmware team to receive transferred firmware technology and establish an ongoing development capability to produce sophisticated protection, control and automation equipment to manage the electric power grid.

Lead a firmware team in establishing a comprehensive development capability to support ongoing design and sustaining engineering activities

Qualifications Required:

More than 4-5 years of relevant embedded firmware design experience

More than 1 years of design team leadership experience

Extensive experience with object oriented designs and C++

Large system hard-RTOS experience. VxWorks and PowerPC preferred.

Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a Senior/Experienced Embeded Software Engineer to join R&D department of Infrastructure automation IED activity. Reporting to the R&D Software manager, you will be focusing on protection product development, especially protection application.

Follow our Electric PMP/PEP process, working in R&D SW team for product evolution project or maintaining existing Micom protection product, such as bug fixing, customer support, etc.

Cooperate with correlated team member and related teams such as project manager, global technical experts, marketings, HW engineers to resolve technical issues for customer.

Strictly follow the design process or Customer Complain Handling process and provide the project delivery or technical report for customer with high quality and on time.

Requirements:

Master’s degree with 4+ years or bachelor degree with 6+ years working experience in embedded software development.

Proved experience in one or more of the following aspects:

1. Protection application

2. Power system protocol development including IEC61850, DNP3, IEC103, Modbus and profibus

3. Real time embedded platform software

Expert at C/C++/VB.

Project or team management experience is necessary.

Project experience using UML, Matlab/simulink is a plus.

CMMi knowledge is a plus.

Oral English: can communicate.

Responsibility/职责：
- As IEC61850 global core team member, help to define solutions for global IEC61850 open issues together with IEC61850 experts.
- Watch and analyze the evolution of IEC61850 standards, propose technical actions accordingly to IEC61850 related projects.
- Collect and investigate Chinese regulations and use cases on IEC61850 application.
- Contribute to IEC61850 standardization work when needed.
- Technical leader for IEC61850 R&D activities.
- Design and implement IEC61850 software for R&D projects.
- Coach and support other teams on IEC61850 skills.
- Cooperate with project manager to deliver IEC61850 SW on time and with high quality.
Requirement/要求：
- Deep understanding to IEC61850 standards.
- Good knowledge about communication technology (Communication network, TCP/IP, MMS library, etc.).
- Good level of software developing skills (C, C++, C#, Java, or etc).
- Ability to use the IEC61850 test tools (Omicron, IEDScout, ASE2000, Wireshark, etc.)
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Positive, self-disciplined, self-motivated.
Preferred/优先条件：
- Bachelor's degree or above in information technology or Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in IEC61850 domain activities.
- Electrical power system knowledge and experience is a plus.
