Pipeline Management

The determination of whether (and how) a set of projects in the portfolio can be executed by a company with finite development resources in a specified time. Fundamental to pipeline management is the ability to align the decision-making process for estimating and green-lighting new programs that are profitable and aligned with overall organization strategy.

Resource Management

The focus on efficient and effective deployment of an organization’s resources on executing programs where and when they are needed. These will include program budgets and spend, financial resources, inventory, human resources, technical skills, production and design. In addition to project-level resource allocation, users can also model ‘what-if’ resource scenarios, and extend this view across the portfolio.

Change Control

Change control governs any transitional or permanent organizational changes that result from programs and projects. This may entail necessary changes in operating or organizational practices, and the scope of change control is any and all activities are needed to maintain continuity of operations for suppliers, Omnigear, and customers throughout changes introduced by new programs.

Financial Management

The PMO will be accountable for budget development and reporting on program financials, along with the accuracy of quotes/estimates, investment and spend assumptions. In addition, the net present value of projects must be demonstrated in relation to the strategic objectives and priorities of the organization to assess progress against program planned investments and realized returns.

Risk Management

An analysis of the risk sensitivities residing within each project, as the basis for determining confidence levels across the portfolio. The integration of cost and schedule risk management with techniques for determining contingency and risk response plans, enable organizations to gain an objective view of project uncertainties and to develop a project risk adjusted schedule, program risk adjusted returns, and recommendations of real options on a program as needed.

Skills/Qualifications

At least 7 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

At least 3 of experience in a project manager role, or 3000 hours of equivalent project management experience.

CAPM or PMP certification.

Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin, written and spoken.

Outstanding PC skills and demonstrated ability to fully utilize MS Office and other applications to effectively communicate.
