Must be a high potential, experienced sales professional with experience in the Back-End Test and Measurement Area of Semiconductor or LED industry and preferably with a strong understanding of LED wafer test as well as Semiconductor wafer testing. An understanding of the company’s role in qualifying/gaining qualification and approval of cantilever test probes is needed. A demonstrated expertise in the processes of Laser power/Laser diode testing, LCD backlight testing, LED /SSL measurement and Oleds and LED testing is additionally an advantage. The employee will be responsible for developing local market channels, supporting existing and future agents or distributors, and participating in direct technical selling roles with agents, distributors and teams to meet the project deliverables and goals. The successful hire will serve as the senior Advanced Probing Systems manager in China with direct responsibility for managing reporting employees and providing reporting requirements>customer contact reports detailing customer requirements, end market pricing and competitive landscape on a weekly basis to David Perniz in the US. Must be an excellent communicator, facilitator, and coach, as well as a demonstrated lead Sales/Marketing professional. Must demonstrate commitment to Advanced Probing Systems Values and a Total Quality philosophy with a strong sense of urgency, commitment to sound business ethics and customer confidentiality. Flexible work hours with extended travel will frequently be required to accommodate customer specific requirements. The person must be analytical, assertive, and able to identify sales and market opportunities as well as problems with suggested solutions. Must be fluent in English with solid English written skills and a solid understanding of written English as well as email communication is vital to our improved response times. Training will be provided at Advanced Probing Systems U.S. facilities; therefore prior approved visa status and travel to the U.S. in previous assignments is preferred. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications; Word, Outlook E-mail, Excel, PowerPoint, etc..
PURPOSE:
The Business Development Manager will provide leadership in the planning and implementation of market and customer penetration strategies in order to cultivate and capture new business opportunities that enable APS to exceed revenue and profit expectations.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES / DUTIES:
- The Business Development Manager will:
- Establish and communicate business development strategy and targets for region and/or market.
- Analyze and understand customer strategies, future product plans, and expansion activities to develop penetration strategies for new business opportunities.
- Cultivate customer relationships, deliver effective proposals, and negotiate contracts to capture profitable new business.
- Effectively brief and leverage APS Management team on strategy and tactics to enhance customer relationships and consummate deals.
- Establish, communicate, and hold direct team accountable for proposal objectives and deliverable to maximize operating profit and revenue growth.
- Represent and provide market exposure for APS at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in sales, business development, business management, or a related discipline.
- An effective communicator with customers, executives, peers, and subordinates.
- 5+ years professional selling experience in Back-End Test and measurement, preferably with experience in LED , Laser Diode at the wafer level;
- 1 to 2 years previous supervisory or management experience in a Western company with direct communication via English;
- Demonstrated experience selling highly engineered/value added products at premium prices;
- Direct work experience in sales and marketing with knowledge and understanding of modern business marketing and sales practices.
