Program Leader Openings in Shanghai, China

Reporting to the Program Director you will be responsible for
1. Lead a daily North American special education curriculum program for Chinese speaking, expatriate children
2. Must have valid special education credentials and related experience
3. Our children have autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, or learning disabilities
4. The lease will be in charge of developing new curriculum, train the team, be part of leaders meeting and teach
Qualifications and Experience
1. Current teaching credential and special education certificates are required.
2. Masters Degree preferred
3. At least three years of experience working in a special education classroom
4. Training in specific modalities is a benefit
5. Service oriented mentality required

6. Creativity and sense of humor, greatly appreciated
7. Bilingual in English and Mandarin

ELG is a social enterprise that provides special education, behavioral, developmental, mental health services for both the local and international communities.

Speech-language pathologist Dr. Shari D. Rosen was the first American developmental therapist based in China. When she saw the lack of resources available in Shanghai for families of children with special needs, she, husband Monte Rosen, and friend Andrew Hill came together to form ELG. ELG was launched in 2006.

ELG offers speech-language therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, behavior therapy, and mental health counseling by appointment. Some examples include support with learning disabilities, sleep difficulties, handwriting, mental health challenges, coordination, social skills, and much more. People can call with any issue, even if they aren’t sure what specific type of therapy or assessment they need. ELG sees over 600 clients per year across China.

ELG also offers training to parents and professionals, as well as consultation for safeguarding and crisis management.


学建是一个社会教育服务机构，为本地和国际社区提供特殊教育、行为、发展及心理健康等高品质服务。

言语语言病理学家罗雪丽博士是***个扎根于中国的美国儿童发展专家。在目睹了上海有特殊需求的孩子无法得到足够的支持和帮助，2006年，她和丈夫罗满提，朋友安德鲁一同创立了学建。

通过预约，学建可提供言语语言干预、物理干预、职能干预、行为干预和心理健康咨询。同样对包括学习障碍、睡眠问题、书写障碍、精神问题、协调能力和社交能力等方面提供支持。即便是无法确定自己需要什么类型的干预或评估，人们也可以打电话就任何问题进行咨询。学建每年为全中国超过600个家庭提供服务。

学建同样为家长和专业人士提供培训，以及安全保护和危机管理方面的咨询服务。
