Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Technical liaison between operations, sales and design engineering

2. Support sales/marketing and the customer base with technical information, design interpretation and product application recommendations.

3. Work with operations to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities, including product design changes, use of alternate materials, rationalization of product-lines, and qualification of new vendors

4. Evaluate feasibility and costs of special product designs as requested by marketing or customer inquiries

5. Support manufacturing with technical interpretation of Electrical Codes, Standards and hazardous locations applications.

6. Manage the ECN system

7. Technical resource to manufacturing, sales & marketing, field engineering and end-users

8. Conduct product line analysis for management review.

9. Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Qualification Requirements for the successful candidate will include the following:

1. B.E. degreed engineer in mechanical or electrical field.

2. 3 + years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with industrial products used in the electrical construction industry.

3. Familiarity with applications in a hazardous environment is an advantage.

4. Good interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to work within a team and to lead a team when necessary.

6. Proficient in written and spoken English.

7. Ability to plan and manage multiple projects.

8. Strong customer orientation.

9. Able to resolve problems and make logical analyses.

10. Computer proficiency in Word and Excel.

11. Pull system exposure and understanding of lean manufacturing concept is also a plus.
