The ideal candidate for the position of Digital Video Post Editor will not only have the experience, skill and creativity to take a wide variety of projects to the next level of eye-popping excellence, but also a team first attitude, excellent communication skills in English and Chinese and the ability to work with a wide variety of personalities, formats and show genres to make sure that each project – from a 10 second channel ID to a 10 hour series show season – achieves the best result.
As our staff Digital Video Post Editor, you will be responsible for cutting and editing footage as required to develop creative and successful online video content solutions. You will also work with producers to help them create a wide variety of different show content and genres that will vary from comedy and drama, to scripted reality and news formats. You will need to balance excellent media management skills with personnel management as you set up best practices and delegate duties while working to create a post department and schedule that can handle these needs in a deadline and client driven environment.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
. Collaborates with producers to create engaging storylines and finished shows that make the best use of graphics, animations and music for use in videos.
. Work with show producers to create show-specific settings and distinct “looks and feel” for several ongoing show series.
. Ensures visual element and quality standards are maintained across the entire video production portfolio.
. Manage your time and resources in a way that meets the needs of several producers and projects.
. Be a master of “making it work” in the ongoing quest for technical logo replacement, color correction, special effects, and inserting music/sound.
. Collaborates in the creative design and video production process including proposing unique creative concepts for future projects

Job Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY
Minimum of 5 - 7 years of video editing experience across a variety of content styles and genres required.
Understanding of the Chinese aesthetic when it comes to visual cues and comedic and dramatic timing.
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English.
Creative, self-motivated team player.

Must demonstrate and possess understanding of storytelling, design and editorial processes, as well as the ability to integrate them all with high production value.
Demonstrated ability to work in all video formats and delivery systems.
Proficient in the use of Final Cut Pro editing systems and After Effects; knowledge of Photoshop and a demonstrated mastery of one or more motion graphics software platforms – ideally you are familiar with one or more of the Adobe suite of products (Photoshop, After Effects Power Point, etc.).
