Primary Responsibilities

? Lead, train, mentor quality team members
? Develop and improve key performance indicator (KPI) system for the area of product quality
? Lead monthly KPI meetings with suppliers for the area of product quality
? Collaborate with suppliers to identify and execute product quality related cost reduction opportunities
? Evaluate/audit new suppliers
? Direct product quality team and improve processes, technical knowledge
? Organize & manage all product quality documentation
? Participate in product development sample reviews
? Standardize quality inspection procedures and standards


Main Requirements

? Quality and/or engineering 4 year degree from a relevant university
? Minimum ten (10) years’ work experience managing Asia based quality teams and suppliers for a B2C (internet or e-commerce based), international retail, manufacturing or trading company
? Minimum five (5) years’ work experience in the home furnishings and furniture areas
? Advanced understanding of lean six sigma concepts and minimum five (5) years’ work experience applying lean six sigma concepts at the supplier level
? Outstanding supplier negotiation skills
? Highly organized with strong task follow-up capabilities
? Strong inter-personal & communication skills
? Fluent spoken English and Chinese
? Continuous learner
? Understands and applies the concept of teamwork
? Possesses keen ability to create, improve, implement and follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
? Comfortable with frequent and extended travel to supplier locations in Asia
? Ability to work under pressure with constant deadlines
? Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize work.
