1. Provide development guidance for both new and existing suppliers producing Interior parts to fulfill corporate sourcing requirements;

2. Identify and select suppliers as needed; build strong relationship with supplier management and front-line personnel;

3. Provide advise/assistance/training to obtain compliance, e.g. APQP, PPAP, R@R, Statistical Process Controls, Process Capability Analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, etc. ;

4. Review and approve

AAR’s, appearance approval reports

Be familiar with graining process for plastic parts

Understanding requirements for evaluating color, grain and gloss of plastic injection molded parts

5. Perform quality audits and approval examinations, as required, for both prospective and current suppliers. Audits will conform to ISO/TS 16949 or ISO 9001 requirements;

6. Provide Supplier Quality Assurance assistance to solve quality, delivery and cost problems. Serve as liaison between supplier and corresponding purchasing, quality, manufacturing and engineering personnel;

7. Facilitate efficient inspection processes for suppliers to ensure product introductions and ongoing production requirements process smoothly;

8. Participate in the source evaluation and approval of potential suppliers;

9. Prepare status reports and maintain documentation for continuous improvements;

Requirements:

1. Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or equivalent engineering majors;

2. 3+ years wok experience as supplier development/quality engineer in auto industry;

3. Strong organization and communication skills;

4. Familiar with FEMA/APQP/PPAP/SPC/MSA;

5. Excellent oral and written English skills;

6. Be willing to travel;
