Job Description
The successful candidate will:
Manage software development projects for our global reporting product. Domain knowledge of banking regulatory reports is required for this position. This is a senior level project management role accountable for driving multiple concurrent full lifecycle software development projects from concept to completion (delivery / deployment / project closeout) in a rapid development environment.
? Oversee all aspects of projects: create project charter, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor & report on project status, etc.
? Work closely with software development, QA, BA, SME, executive management etc. to ensure the completion of all project milestones according to established timelines and budget parameters.
? Lead project meetings and negotiate timelines/scope with key stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skillset
Education:
? Bachelor degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related technology major
Essential:
? 8+ years working experience
? 5+ year’s formal project management experience in a software development / SDLC environment essential.
? Knowledge and experience with project management concepts, practices and procedures.
? Experience with software development methodologies / lifecycle including Waterfall and Agile Scrum. Agile / Scrum Certification not required.
? Understand software development lifecycle / process, including project management through different environments (Dev, QA, Staging, Prod, DR).
? Leverage your influencing, negotiating & motivating skills and your sound judgment abilities to execute project plans and accomplish goals according to established timelines and budget constraints.
? Ability to effectively overcome common & uncommon challenges that often impede project progress
? Strong collaboration skills, accountability, a sense of urgency, ability to manage expectations, and adept at prioritizing tasks in a constantly changing landscape
? Comfortable being directive and persistent with senior level stakeholders
? Knowledge of relevant project management software tools (ie: MS Office, MS Project, TFS)
Desirable:
? Deep experience building software for large financial institutions is a plus.
? PMI Certification or process knowledge strongly preferred.
? Fluency in English, written and oral

? Open to change and innovation
? To be based in Shanghai but with a willingness to travel up to 25%, mainly within China
