Established privately owned home textile company seeks an experienced Print Production Artist with 5+ years experience to be responsible for mechanical production of packaging and point of purchase display.

The Print Production Artist creates or makes changes to all types of packaging and marketing-department collateral for printing - with minimal supervision. This position will work on multiple projects to meet deadlines. These projects require understanding of layout, type and color, and being able to follow and understand style guides and directions from Director of Packaging Services and Packaging Manager. This position reports to the Director of Packaging Services.

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare mechanicals for print production for In-house and private label brands
• Photo retouch, manipulation and color correction
• Edit existing mechanical files as needed
• Point of Purchase Display dieline manipulation
• Prepare and compress files for posting to FTP sites and servers
• Create and transmit PDF files to customer and factories
• Create and traffic PDF files for approval

· Illustrates packaging concepts and ideas through sketches and design applications

• Update and maintain Production Tracking Sheet
• Archive completed files
• Work under direction of Director of Packaging Services and Packaging Manager
• Other related duties as assigned

Education and Training:

• Bachelor’s degree in Studio Techniques or Graphic Design, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum five years related experience
• Thorough knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency in Macintosh OSX environment
• Understanding of the pre-press production process
• A portfolio that demonstrates creativity and problem solving
• Proficient in Mandarin and English

· Knowledge of Home Furnishing & Textile Industry a plus

• Must be familiar with image compression, file correction and optimization techniques
• Able to turn around projects quickly and accurately
• Meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adjust priorities to meet deadlines
• Work well in a team setting
• Highly organized approach to problem solving and project management
• Good verbal and written communication skills
