Job Overview
The System Administrator will be responsible for providing support to E2open data center operations across multiple geographical locations to meet our global customers' Service Level Agreements and operational requirements.
The successful candidate must have excellent large scale infrastructure system implementation experience, as well as possess strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills, and be able to independently work with E2open's cross functional teams across multiple geographical locations.
Major responsibilities include:
· Manage and support E2open data center operations for development, staging, PSR/QA and production environments
· Perform on-call duty and rotation on various data center environments
· Manage and perform weekly scheduled production maintenance to ensure no impact to E2open's global customers' Service Level Agreements and operational requirements
· Build, maintain and upgrade a multitude of Sun Solaris and Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems for development, Staging, and Production environments
· Develop best practices and procedures for system operations and maintenance
· Coordinate with vendors and service providers on various operation matter in data center
Requirements
· Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
· Minimum 5 year experience on hardware such as Sun Enterprise Servers, IBM xSeries, Dell Servers, SAN switches, SAN/NAS Storage, Load Balancer, and network switches
· Minimum 5 years of experience in managing large number of Sun Solaris, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and CentOS servers (1000s of servers),
· Minimum 5 years of experience in large scale data center virtualization on VMware Infrastructure (1000s of VMs)
· Minimum 5 year experience in managing large scale NFS, NAS, SAN, NetApp, StorageTek, and Netbackup
· Solid knowledge of system security, operating system internals, file system structures, DNS, Postfix, OpenLDAP, kickstarts/jumpstarts and machine architectures in a UNIX operating system , particularly Solaris and Linux
· Shell and/or perl scripting experience will be a plus
· Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking will be a plus
· Experience in managing and using Veritas Cluster Manager and Linux LVM is a plus
· Working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and disaster recovery strategy. Experience on inter-site (cross geographical location) DR will be a plus
· Experience working on large scale cloud-based SaaS operations will be a plus
· Hands on working experience in a telco grade data center is a plus
· Good written and verbal communication in Mandarin and English is required.
· Good interpersonal skills, team player, highly motivated, well organized, and result oriented.
· Highly independent, self-motivated and possess high sense of responsibility.
· Fast leaner with strong analytical, diagnostic, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
