职位描述
Objective:
Provide leadership and direction by conducting world class engineering in the area of process capability to enable the Epoxy business and manufacturing sites to achieve the level of performance consistent with business plans and economic drivers. The aim is to design new or improved manufacturing capabilities, while optimizing the performance, quality, safety and costs and staying in compliance with applicable standards.
Accountabilities:
Reliability & Safety:
- Lead Safety Studies (e.g. HAZOP, PSSR) and determine Safety Integrity Level (SIL) classification for safeguarding instrumentation
- Ensure compliance with company standards and national and international legislation w.r.t. process control and safeguarding systems
Design & Change:
- Conduct Front-end Loading engineering (scouting studies, project scope definition) early on in the project phase to maximize the value added of the project;
- Develop Basis of Design (BoD) documents and prepare Basic Design and Engineering Packages (BDEP);
- Develop specifications for new equipment and instrumentation in the project design phase.
- Develop detailed (pre)commissioning and startup plans, lead (pre)commissioning and startup activities
- Provide smooth, timely and adequate interaction and information flow between the engineering disciplines and other functions in the company
- Accountable for developing work processes and tools and identifying best practices w.r.t. process engineering (e.g. develop quality standards, methods, commissioning and startup protocols, procedures, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with company standards and national and international legislation.
- Lead and supervise the technical disciplines of engineering contractors involved in design and engineering activities (liaise with company counterparts in other regions)
- Lead and supervise commissioning and startup activities (including pre-startup safety review)
- Lead and execute process improvement studies (e.g. to improve yields, reduce waste, reduce cycle time, increase capacity)
Problem Analysis:
- Lead or participate in RCA (root cause analysis) of incidents or recurring problems
Qualifications:
- Bachelors/Master's Chemical Engineering degree from a Technical University
- Over 10 years of working experience in the (petro)chemical / fine chemical industry / engineering contractor (global and international companies)
- Proven (process engineering) experience in multiple new projects (ranging from USD 0.1 MM to several USD 10 MM), both in design and in plant startup
- Proven experience in process improvement and optimization activities
- Thorough job expertise. Capabilities and interest to learn and increase expertise further
- Fluent in Chinese and English, both oral and written.
- Strong focus on safety
- Sense of responsibility
- Thorough and in-depth knowledge in process safety
