Rovi is seeking a candidate Flex Engineer for Rovi Entertainment Storefront (RES) in China. This role will work as a team member of the Client Team, responsible for developing RES clients that are based on Adobe Flex/AIR technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop high quality client application for RES with Flex/AIR
Work closely with PM and UX to build components and features
Provide educated estimation for tasks
Provide support/bug-fixing for released products
Coordinates with QA to discover and resolve bugs
Build unit test components for working features
Do code review with other members in the team
Write design/development/review documents
Investigate new technology and possibilities for the improvement of existing products
Provide feedback and suggestions to the questions from PM, UX and other team

Desired Skills & Experience:

At least 3 years in ActionScript programming language and Adobe Flash Platform
Expertise in ActionScript 3
Expertise in Flex 4 framework, component re-skin, making customized components
Expertise in AIR framework. Cross-platform (MacOS and PC) AIR application development background is a plus
Proficient in Object Originated Programming
Proficient in at least one of the widely used ActionScript MVC frameworks (e.g. PureMVC, Mate, Robotlegs)
Proficient in Flex/AIR SDK APIs which are used for communication with backend services (e.g. WebService, Socket, RemoteObject)
Proficient in SQLite language
Proficient in ANT and command-line build script
Knowledgeable of MacOS will be a plus
Knowledgeable of other programming languages (Jave/HTML/Javascript/Objective-C) will be a plus
Bachelor's Degree
Fluent in oral and written English
