· Define, develop and execute materials management Strategy: The Inventory Control Manager will help build out the material management capabilities for the Finisar SHG/WUXI that will enable the scale and complexity necessary to support SHG/WUXI of today and tomorrow. Articulating the strategic vision that inspires multiple groups and is able to rally support for that vision throughout the organization

· Build Robust Infrastructure: Ownership for component inventory throughout the SHG/WUXI supply chain network. Partnering with IPO, Manufacturing and Finance organizations to map out complex multi-tier material supply chain networks. Create consistent and comprehensive visibility into materials pipeline In support of production plans

· Periodical join the Global S&OP meeting and material review meeting by closely working with global teams

· An ideal candidate for the materials control manager role should have the following skills and experience:
- A strategic thinker with a proven track record of implementing and delivering complex inventory across multiple geographies
- Ability to develop efficient work processes for complex projects involving many groups, across multiple geographies and effectively coordinate, implement and maintain those processes
- Demonstrated experience interacting with senior management (internally & externally) with the ability to effectively communicate and present to all levels of management
- Deals well with tough political situations and are proactive in building and maintaining a network of effective relationships
- Readily and easily switches gears in response to unexpected events and circumstances
- Analyzes, explains and draws logical conclusions based on complex and ambiguous data from multiple content areas

Requirements:

· 10+ plus years of experience in high-tech manufacturing, consumer electronics and supply chain

· Significant experience in a variety of manufacturing and/or planning environments

· Background in managing international relationships and working remote organizations

· Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills

· Have experience working with an industry recognized ERP system such as SAP or Oracle as well as an advanced planning system such as ASCP

· The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment.

· Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people.

· A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team.

· Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex material planning problems. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

· Bachelor or Master Degree, very good written and verbal English required

· Be training and working in SHG and WUXI dynamically
