Alfa Laval has in collaboration with Wallenius Water developed a chemical free system, PureBallast, to treat ballast water on board vessels in order to prevent micro organisms to establish in a new marine environment. PureBallast was the first chemical-free ballast water treatment system in the world to have received approval by IMO. We are now taking the next step in preparing for further growth and establishing a PureBallast Competence Center in Shanghai. You will be part of a new team strengthening the PureBallast competence in Asia and work in a challenging, fast moving and developing business.

Responsibilities:

As a Product Specialist you will be responsible for supporting our Asian sales and service organization with product and installation solutions for our Ballast Water Treatment application, PureBallast. The work includes contacts to customers, sales and service staff on a regular basis. You will be part of our new PureBallast Competence Center organization with the objective of improving our offering to our customers.

The main work tasks:

?Specialized product & application support for our sales- and service organization,

?Support in customer dialogues for installation onboard ships,

?Technical support during commissioning and fault finding,

?Act as trainer in internal and external training of PureBallast.

Qualifications:

You have education in marine engineering and have marine experience. For this role you have at least five years experience in the field of marine engineering and/or five years of onboard experience.

The business environment is highly international so you have high skills in English both verbal and in writing. As a person you have an outgoing personality with high skills in communication and the ability to work on your own initiative.

The position is based in Shanghai, China. Frequent travelling is required, 50-75 days / year.
