Job Summary:
In this position you will be using your experience with CMM machines to Southco product. Be responsible to operate and program the CMM Machine as well as to do other general inspection duties. Be involved with calibration of the inspection equipment.

Job Scope:
Supply full Metrology Service for the Production Evaluation product and work closely with engineering department engineers. The efficiency of this position can be determined by the number of requests completed and the quality of the tests as they relate to the number of field-related complaints as a result of inaccurate tests performed by the product evaluation team.

Job Accountabilities:
1.Operating and programming CMM machine for Southco product dimension inspection.
2.Performing the inspection-(Close Tolerance) Visual, Optical Comparators, Micrometer, Gauging, Calipers, and Comparators.
3.Be familiar with the calibration of the inspection equipment, Follow and update machine calibration database.
4.Preparing test results in a complete, concise manner, documenting objectives, procedures, and results for each test.
5.Drawing review with engineering designer.

1.Proficient with PC’s and hardware and Basic programming skills

5.Knowledge and experience of Environmental Chambers
6.Knowledge about Instron Machine
C.Education, Training and Work Experience
1.Minimum 5 years experience performing floor inspections(Close Tolerance) Visual, Optical Comparators, Micrometer, Gauging, Calipers, Comparators and CMM
2.Experience with statistical methods to determine appropriate sample sizes and acceptance criteria.
3.Mechanical engineering/ or equivalent technical degree
4.2 to 3 years with laboratory procedures and equipment
