Basic Job Description:
Orthodontists are in charge of the specialty of dentistry that is concerned with the study and treatment of malocclusions (improper bites), which may be a result of tooth irregularity, disproportionate jaw relationships, or both. Orthodontic treatment can focus on dental displacement only, or can deal with the control and modification of facial growth. Orthodontists typically deal with hardware such as retainers and headgear with goal of aligning teeth to improve the appearance or the ability of the person to chew and swallow food without difficulty or pain. Orthodontic treatment can be carried out for purely aesthetic reasons-improving the general appearance of patients' teeth and face for cosmetic reasons-but treatment is often prescribed for practical reasons, providing the patient with a functionally improved bite (occlusion).
Report to: chief Medical Officer, CEO. Head Dentist.
Subordinates and supporter: Dental Nurse, Dental Hygienist, Reception, PSO, Billing clerk, Lab and Coroner.
Job location: Both our clinics are in the most metropolitan areas of Shanghai, China. (Near People's Square and Lu Jia Zui.). You may be initially assigned to just one clinic; however, this may change depending on the current needs of the organization.

Job Duties and Tasks:
1. In the latter case orthodontist's duties mainly are focused on "dentofacial orthopedics" about dental displacement.
2. Analyze records, reports, test results, or diet and life habit information to diagnose teeth condition of patient.
3. Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as oral disease history, reports, and examination results.
4. Explain procedures and suggest or recommend prescribed treatments with patients.
5. Liaise directly with patients and represent the clinic's interests.
6. Monitor patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary.



Working Conditions
1. Stand on their feet for prolonged periods of time in the pleasant work environment in a modern clinic with well lighted exam rooms.
2. Hours of work generally 30-40 hours a week, frequently work at weekends in the busier time.
3. Never being awakened and/or being asked to come in at rest time or night.


Training and Qualifications
1.Minimum of 2 years of college-level predental education, regardless of the major chosen.
2.Majored in a science such as biology or chemistry, other subject and science courses during predental study.
3.Got bachelor or master degree after 2-3 years study in dental school.
4.Completed a orthodontic program spanning a minimum of 2-3 years focused on the oral and facial area. A clinical practice or internship is included where learned to re-align teeth and work with the specialized procedures of orthodontic dentistry.
5.Pass a national exam administered by the American Dental Association's Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations
6.Licensure in the state of U.S. is preferred.
7.Officially practicing experience in U.S. or other states is preferred
