Job Responsibilities:

- To be tooling project manager and tooling engineer in Shanghai for oversea projects sourced to LCC countries

• Organize and host the kick off meeting for each tooling project, get all necessary information to smoothly kick off the project including the roles of team members from both sides and requested timing requirement etc.
• Host the weekly meeting between company overseas and the supplier, weekly visit the supplier, tracking the tooling development timing schedule, and raise the red flag and provide the action plan once the timing delays due to the reasons from either side.
• Tracking, coordinate and support to resolve all open issues during tooling design, manufacturing period, tryout period and tooling final tuning and approval period.
• Make sure the supplier design and manufacturing completely follow company technical specification
• Participate in the tooling tryout, and give initial issue list for the parts before parts delivery, and well prepare the tryout report and issue list, and share with both sides to resolve all open issues
• Ensure the tooling modification is implemented properly and timely
• Track procurement of tryout resin/packaging/part shipment in & out
• Have tooling final approval and resolve all issues and all need defined requirements before tooling delivery
• Coordinate and support to resolve all non-conformities found in EU service providers

- Audit new Low Cost Countries mold maker and prepare audit report.

- Support manager to have annual business review with strategy suppliers and provide proper trainings to them if need.

- Work with commodity buyer with proper assistance from manager to prepare RFQ, evaluate supplier capability, analyze supplier quotation, sourcing and manage the program.

- Maintain a detailed tooling status report, provides a continual update of this information to immediate supervision and finalize a tooling library package for each set of new tooling.

Qualification Requirements:

- Bachelor degree majored in tooling or plastics material, or equivalent experience, MBA preferred,

- 5 years in Automotive tooling & Machinery areas as Tooling Project Engineer- including tool project management experience with injection and stamping tools & processing experience with plastics and metals.

- Program management skills are critical.

- Familiar with Automotive & Quality Systems such as ISO9000, QS9000 and ISO/TS16949.

- Expert on tooling drawings & technical specifications, tooling tryout & final approval

- Very organized and excellent coordination capability among the suppliers and cross functional teams globally

- Project lead time driving orientation Action planning & execution towards targets

- Proactive, open mind, and quick learning capability

- Must be willing to travel on the weekly basis.

- Success records in Low Cost Countries tooling project management and final approvals

- Excellent communication capabilities on both oral and writing English
