Department Description:
The Supply Chain and Operations Program Management Office (PMO) is responsible for the centralized, coordinated management of projects to achieve the strategic objectives of the Supply Chain Organization. This office plays a critical role in ensuring that all projects are properly prioritized, adequately staffed, and executed to meet the schedule, scope, quality, and business goals. Our team manages the risk plans, communications plans, resource plans, and other associated PMBOK processes. We construct and administer the project management plans, and insure change control processes are used effectively to communicate scope, schedule, or resource variations to our stakeholders

This occurs through program and operations reviews, core team planning sessions, and internal coordination. In addition, the team oversees program budgeting, resource planning, project material planning and management, and project accounting.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Manages the development and/or implementation of business projects within the Supply Chain Organization.
- Coordinates cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or enhanced systems, business processes, and other projects as necessary.
- Manages projects from inception to completion.
- Ensures that projects meet: committed program dates, quality goals, project scope, and project budgets
- Pro-active risk management with the cross functional team. Aggressively manage, control, and monitor the risks with the appropriate mitigation plans.
- The PM role identifies areas that have delivery and quality issues and mitigates these risks and issues to ensure projects meet their dates with quality.
-Communicate issues and risks to senior management as appropriate. Requires direct and regular interface to the Supply Chain leadership team
- Lead and participate in project review and status meetings
- Utilizes project management methodologies to ensure maximum project effectiveness. Use of scheduling tools, estimation tools, project metrics
- Motivates project team to ensure optimal performance.
- Lead weekly cross functional core team meetings
- Interface to MSI business teams
- Interface to the Finance team for project budget planning
- Monitor project execution to ensure all obligations are met.

Specific Knowledge/Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited college or university with a degree in manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, or applied sciences
- 10 plus years of experience in the electronics and telecommunications industry.
- Experience in many different disciplines (manufacturing, engineering, service, product management, field engineering) is desired.
- Knowledge of many of the supply chain processes: Forecasting, planning, inventory management, operations, manufacturing, procurement, sourcing, transportation, warehousing
- Basic knowledge of product development life cycle
- Experience with 3rd party projects and contracts.
- Ability to prepare and manage project budgets for capital and expense
- Direct experience in a disciplined project/program management role
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplined team environment and on individual assignments of varying degrees of ambiguity
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and schedule individual and group work assignments
- Demonstrated ability to lead others in completing work assignments in accordance with defined program objectives and deadlines
- Demonstrated problem solving skills. Willing and adaptable to fill in white spaces in the organization where it is exposed.
- Experience in working in a global, multi-site environment. Experience managing projects and teams where many of the resources will not be in the same site or country as the Program Manager
- Process Improvements. Demonstrated ability to measure, analyze and improve personal and organizational methods and processes
- Change management skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams through changes in processes, methods and tools
- Excellent English language communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) are essential
- Ability to work with senior leaders of the organization
- Working knowledge of program management concepts such as WBS, PERT, GANTT, Critical Path Analysis, Earned Value, Cost-of-Quality
- Working knowledge of PM planning tools such as Primavera TeamPlay and MicroSoft Project
- Demonstrated ability to apply rigorous project tracking practices and techniques
