A US MNC Leader in the Chemical industry
Reporting to the Director Logistics & Trade Compliance Asia Pacific, you are responsible for:
Job Function:
1. Develop and implement Logistics in bond/out bond Strategies for North Asia Region including, but may not limited to China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
2. Support company regional growth and meet or exceed internal and external customer's expectations.
3. Develop plans to achieve total logistics cost reduction targets and must be able to deliver results.
4. Operational level logistics experiences and regional level strategic thinking are must.
Unit Function:
1. Drive to lower total cost of ownership of Grace-wide enterprise logistics spend.
2. Support Company Operations to resolve logistics related problems, support import and export activities and compliance with country government's laws and regulations.
3. Negotiate with logistics service providers and secure contracts.
4. Improve, optimize current logistics providers to improve efficiency and reduce total cost.
5. Develop process and procedures for the regional logistics functions.
Duties:
1. Support China region plants logistics problems solving.
2. Work to deliver on annual saving plans and targets developed per company AOP.
3. Identify additional savings and improvement opportunities.
4. Managing logistics providers and business Logistics related functions.
5. Alignment of team and expectations of regional business units, understand and support internal and external customers' needs
6. Prepare varies review reports, attending regional and global logistics and business meetings and conference calls
7. Verify logistics monthly spend and invoices from providers, if needed
8. Report quarterly productivity/saving achievements, and identify gaps and additional opportunities
9. Develop strategy for logistics saving targets and plans for implementations
Skills and abilities:
1. Degree holder. Strong process-oriented with 6 Sigma/Lean tools experience.
2. Minimum of 8 years in Logistics/Supply Chain management, preferably in Chemical industries field.
3. Operational level logistics experiences and regional level strategic thinking are must
4. Strong process-oriented with 6 Sigma/Lean tools experience
5. Strong leadership skills, good presentation, interpersonal skills, analysis skills
6. Good English/Mandarin written and spoken skills.
