GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: (Provide a brief overview, e.g. why does the job exist, what are the objectives of the position.)
To integrate new orders and changes into Production, acting as liaison between Engineering, Materials and Assembly. Co-ordinate other functions such as BOM creation, BOM audits and maintenance of job status and engineering releases. The BOM Coordinator is an integral part of the Product Team and can greatly impact the effectiveness of the product that they support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

? Maintain item data and Bills of Material in BaaN, include deploying Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Configuration Changes (CCs) into BaaN and appropriate systems. An integral part of the change management process for standard and special configurations.
? Verify and interpret Project Checklist for inaccuracies and omissions.
? Enter and maintain project bills of materials, working with Engineering and Purchasing to load order customization and BOM's and utilizing configuration tools.
? Develop planning strategies in cooperation with Engineering and Production Planning to support on-time shipment goals.
? May participate in or lead continuous improvement activities.

? Strong written and oral communication skills.
? Good understanding of the manufacturing process and ISO awareness preferred.
? BaaN or similar business system application experience, computer literacy with an ability to learn new programs quickly.
? Good interpersonal skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical college diploma or university degree or equivalent.
- RELATED EXPERIENCE (Indicate required and/or preferred experience for this job.)
Approx. 3 years' experience in manufacturing environment preferred, 3 years' experience with BaaN or similar business application.
