Job Summary:
Define, execute & finalize procurement strategies for an assigned group of commodities in line with corporate strategies, across Asia Pacific. This includes purchasing commodities while minimizing TCO, influencing & communicating with the different stakeholders across the organization, facilitating communication between the company and its vendors and ensuring compliance with internal & external rules & policies.

Responsibilities:
- Understand and Establish business needs
- Analyze, acquire deep knowledge of the markets and monitor developments in order to define appropriate value adding & competitive Sourcing Strategies that support business strategies.
- Translate Sourcing Strategies into Tactical Procurement plans
- Communicate and Implement Procurement Plans and track for execution
- Manage changes in business environment & adapt sourcing strategies accordingly
- Develop strong suppliers relationships at all levels and enhance strategic cooperation
- Be able to prepare, issue, analyze & complete Request For Proposals (RFPs)
- Drive costs reduction thru the promotion of raw materials substitutes, new suppliers qualifications, price improvement, rebates and cost avoidances in order to secure more costs effective sources of products
- Contribute to the optimization of working capital managing effectively the "procure to pay" process that includes inventory control and accounts payable performance
- Be able to discuss legal aspects of a contract and ensure compliance with internal Delegation of Authority (DOA) procedure.
- Communicate timely and effectively complaints to suppliers, and follow up on corrective action plan
- Provide proactive inputs to Business Units and OF and participate to S&OP process to ensure sourcing and supply is optimized (from a supply security and total cost stand point)
- Update timely and accurately procurement communication tools (e.g. Market intelligence databases, variance report, ...
- Communicate, using formal & informal channels, on RM market movements & dynamics with BU and other internal partners in a timely and effective manner
- Foster problem solving thru cross functional collaboration
- Drive quality programs including, non exhaustively, specifications standardization & simplification and suppliers 'evaluation
- Ensure at all times compliance with ISO 9000 & 14001 procedures, internal & external SOX procedures, regulatory procedures, internal SHE procedures, Code of Conduct and all other internal & external programs relevant for the job.
- Challenge the status quo & promote value creating ideas in daily operations leading to continuous improvement in our procedures and processes

Requirements:
- Higher education with commercial and/or chemical background
- Minimum 5 years successful experiences in related fields, preferably chemical functions within a multi-plant, multi-cultural manufacturing environment
- Good communication, analytical and negotiation skills
- Process oriented
- Problem solving skills
- Good spoken and written English
- Familiar with customs documentation and logistics operations
- Good Computer Skills (MS office Standard tools)
- Legal knowledge
