A Leading USA Company Chemical Industry
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various regional teams to support short term and long term I.T. strategies that are aligned with the business objectives of business units operating in the region
- Direct, develop and provide professional leadership for the total information systems function in the region
- Implement regional I.T. solutions that are compatible with the global I.T. strategy/infrastructure including defining objectives and requirements, and developing implementation plans
- Implement on-going support plans for the region's I.T. infrastructure, including lifecycle management
- Participate in the Corporate IT Infrastructure Standards Team (IT IS) in the formulation of global IT infrastructure standards
- Plan and manage I.T. Budgets for the region
- Plan and manage I.T. integration charters for new acquisitions within the region
- Provides I.T. leadership and direction to regional implementation and support teams.
- Work with regional management teams to define how to use I.T. to gain strategic advantage in the region.
- Work with the global teams and other regional site managers to coordinate IT activities for the global business organization
- Continuous improvement, determine appropriate change to effect improvements, reduce costs and enhance efficiency
- Ensure day to day I.T. support is provided at each site in the region (e.g. PC's, LAN's, and voice and data communications)
- Work with regional management team to develop Business Continuity Plans & Disaster Recovery Plans
- Plan and manage regional IT budgets
- Identify technology gaps between current and future requirements and identify costs / resources required to fill the gaps
- Ensure regional support for global initiatives (e.g. single ERP)
- Support all HR related activities for direct employees
- Cascade and translate where necessary relevant corporate IT and business related information to the team
- Define, align with corporate guidelines and actively monitor local team KPIs
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in overseeing, managing and implementing IT technical solutions.
- Demonstrated people management and project management skills
- Minimum Technical degree, master degree in a scientific or engineering direction is a plus
- Experience in the use of standard industry accepted practices in the implementation of IT projects
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communications skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English is a must
- Must be willing to live, work, and travel within the Asia Pacific region on short notice. Up to 50% of travel outside of home-country is expected
- From time to time, International travel to Europe or the United States is required
