GENERAL SUMMARY
Assists in the maintenance of the Engineering Document Control and Change Order System. Works under general supervision with Engineering, Manufacturing and other departments to ensure that changes are acknowledged and carried out to completion. Uses past experience and sound judgment in the application of Documentation Control business principles to make decisions. Helps to develop new solutions, while maintaining established standards. Must have a working knowledge of engineering change order policies and procedures (ECOs), TCOs, bills-of material, design document archiving, parts management and/or database management. Provides support both within and external to the documentation and release department, interacting with engineering, manufacturing, and SBM for the creation, review and approval of ECOs, NPRs, PSFs, TCOs, and Part Mods.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Facilitates communications between Doc Control department and Engineering, Manufacturing and/or other organizations as necessary. Is expected to be knowledgeable on other support functions present in the department, with a focus on Coverage/Back-up for other Documentation Control Analysts or coordinators as required. May represent Document Control and the business on project teams and product PMTs. Communicates with personnel outside of department to provide, solicit and/or exchange information. Maintains a positive rapport with all personnel. Participates as a mentor of less experienced coordinators.
? Participates in change management and new documentation processes and activities as needed, for planning, communication, and implementation. May coordinate meetings and Conference Calls to resolve department wide issues and to set direction for new computer based applications.
? Coordinates the creation of detailed product structures (HW, SW, PCB) based on family trees, mechanical databases and outside/indirect information from Program Mgmt/Eng/Mfg. Reviews data and provides feedback.
? Demonstrates a knowledge of process and product, responding to requests for information which requires research and some analysis of information. Responsible for assisting in identifying, investigating, and solving system and process issues utilizing relevant best practices and solutions. May support one or more specific projects or programs as assigned.
? Understands the needs of other organizations and provides information when requested. Works as assigned on projects where improvements in process or tools can be effective. Researches, proposes, and supports efforts to move processes, systems, tools and techniques ahead.
? Compiles and analyzes data from a variety of sources and may prepare reports. Demonstrates high level of proficiency on all Microsoft Office applications and other Product Data Management tools. May analyze and interpret data while preparing information for presentation to management.
? Familiarity with the following software applications/tools may be required: Adobe Illustrator, Easy Label, Roxio CD Creator, Pro Intralink, PDM Works, PSF, WinIso, Oracle BOM/Inventory, SAMS, and Rebuild/BOMBuild based tools. May participate in testing of changes or enhancements in systems such as SAMS or Windchill.
