The Digital and Social Media Planner position within the Lincoln team is responsible for the research and analysis that informs vehicle launch and digital platform and social media strategies.
This detail oriented role will lead the local market audit and assessment for the Lincoln digital strategy.
The self-starter is extremely comfortable multi-tasking, has sound qualitative and quantitative analytic skills and is a digital native, familiar with existing digital channels and aware of upcoming innovations in the digital and social media space. He/She needs to understand how to use weibo, SNS, BBS, blogs & mobile to reach & engage targeted online audiences. Using online research & data mining tools, he/she will play a key role in the campaign planning process.. Equipped with the latest CiC dashboard tools & reports, you will screen & distill large volumes of online buzz into planning insights that drive the big idea for advertising campaigns. He/she will then supervise iWOM vendors in generating iWOM buzz and building online communities, ensuring a high standard of copywriting & PR ethics. Your data mining skills will also serve to monitor brand reputation & alert clients to positive & negative trends.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Insights
? Develop an understanding of the consumer in and the ability to represent their needs and motivations in the strategic and creative process.
? Understand and constantly review competitors’ digital, social and mobile programs
? Liaison with brand planners to understand consumer research and apply to digital programs
? Closely follow developments in digital industry – both globally and in each of the APA markets
? Internal and external sharing of digital trends and best practices
Planning
? Lead audit and assessment portion to inform the Lincoln Digital Strategy: audit to analyze website, mobile site, search, paid media, social media presence and performance.
? Assist planning team in analysis of consumer & vehicle positioning research and local consumer behaviour: Data to include consumer digital behaviour, social media listening and website analytics
? Support the development of digital communication plans for key vehicle launches (including owned website timing and content, Mobile, Social and Search solutions)
? Support creative team to develop online promotions that maximize iWOM buzz & SNS engagement
Implementation
? Assist in planning and roll out of global social media tools including Buddy Media (social media software technology) & Cymfony (social listening tool). This includes implementation into each APA market and ongoing coordination with globalteam.
? Define, document, and share digital and social media best practices
Analytics & Optimization Responsibilities
? Regularly assess monthly website, mobile, search and social media analytics
? Consult with analytics and account teams to recommend and present to client optimization opportunities based on analytics findings
REQUIRED SKILLS:
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
He/she should possess strong written and oral communication skills (is able to write and present strategic plans and presentations).
CREATIVITY/INNOVATION SKILLS:
The planner should be passionate about digital innovations and recognize original, creative solutions to business problems, and demonstrate “out of the box” thinking.
INTERNAL PARTNERING SKILLS:
The campaign planner has to build confidence, trust and respect with the Ford clients, staff, peers, and be able to work effectively in project teams globally and across the region at all levels
Ability to work across different cultures
Mastery of Microsoft Office required
PREFERRED PROFILE:
? BA/BS Degree Required
? 4+ years industry experience; planning experience preferred
? Experience in a full service agency environment preferred
? Conversational Mandarin is a plus
? A passion for social media and digital marketing demonstrated in active use of SNS, BBS, blogs and mobile
