We’re looking for a vehicle design engineer based at our Ricardo Shanghai office. The candidate should have knowledge of chassis and powertrain installations, and an interest in whole vehicle design and packaging.

The Role:

• Working as part of a team, you will help deliver vehicle component design solutions to the required customer standards, whilst being actively involved in the resolution of cross functional issues
• Taking ownership of component design issues and providing solutions
• Liaising with our engineers and customer engineers to understand the most appropriate solutions to issues.
• Support necessary component meetings and packaging meetings to resolve vehicle issues as necessary

The ideal candidate will:

• Have knowledge of chassis and powertrain systems and installations
• Catia V5 Modeling, engineering drawing and GD&T knowledge
• Be a team player with the flexibility to work alongside talented colleagues as part of a driven and dedicated team
• Knowledge of TeamCentre preferred
• Be proactive and look to take a lead when resolving issues, rather than following another’s lead
• Have a degree in mechanical or automotive engineering or equivalent engineering knowledge
