JOB DESCRIPTION
The Database Engineer will report to the IT Manager and will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing database infrastructure to implement new product features. Ideal candidate will have strong database design & development in Oracle & SQL and Linux/Unix experience. This candidate also should work on the internal business report with excellent Excel technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Implement & maintain the Oracle database on Linux/Unix platform.
b) Design, architect and implement scalable database solutions.
c) Enhance current database schema to add new product features.
d) Design and implement complex queries and database stored procedures with Oracle & SQL.
e) Generate the internal business reports with Excel format.

REQUIREMENTS
a) At least 5 years experience in Oracle and SQL database systems and programming.
b) Expert on implement & maintain the Oracle database system on Linux/Unix platform.
c) Familiarity with the Oracle database & Oracle Weblogic solution.
d) Expert on MS Excel, including the Excel formula & macro.
e) Bachelor or higher in Computer Science or equivalent.
f) Have strong desire to learn new concepts and technologies.
g) Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
h) Following are the plus:
· Familiarity with J2EE, Java/JDBC-based database solutions.
· Familiarity with Linux/Unix shell scripting.
· Exposure to data warehousing and data marts
· Good written and oral in English communication skills.
