BASIC FUNCTION

Work in conjunction with Loss Prevention Pte Manager and HSE Development Department Specialists to develop and maintain the Borouge HSE Training Matrix, HSE Competency Criteria and “Best in Class” HSE training material, and deliver training to functions, assessing candidates and recording results in conjunction with the Learning and Development Department, in addition to proactively assessing and seeking areas for improving the overall system.

WORK PERFORMED

• Actively participate in the development and maintenance of the HSE Training matrix.
• Identify and prepare HSE training plans in collaboration with the Learning & Development Department (L&D) to facilitate appropriate execution and development of a continuous HSE education & training program for Borouge personnel, including relevant Contractors, in order to meet the present and future training’s needs.
• In conjunction with Loss Prevention Function and HSE Development Department, prepare “Best in Class” HSE training and assessment materials that reflect our HSEMS, ADNOC COP’s and industry practices.
• Conduct classroom and practical (on-the-job) training, utilizing simulators, manuals and drawings as appropriate in order to continually improve the overall HSE competence of the Borouge Organization.
• Identify equipment and material requirements that support effective HSE training execution.
• Develop assessment criteria and clear success levels for critical training courses in order to verify that the intended learning outcomes have been attained. Provide accurate information to L&D of actual results of each trainee.
• Support L&D to maintain comprehensive records and training history for all personnel.
• Regular liaison with Customers (Other Functions) to measure and improve the effectiveness of all aspects of HSE Training.
• Develop and maintain a library of HSE training materials / tools.
• Provide HSE Training budget input to the overall preparation of the HSE Development budget and ensure the HSE training budget is executed effectively.
• Through relevant networks assess industry techniques and practices, introducing new effective approaches and techniques in HSE training to the benefit of the Company.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Graduated with a University Degree in Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical & Industrial or equivalent.
• Certified as an HSE Trainer, with practical proven record.
• 10 years experience in specifically Environmental Field preferably within Petrochemical, Oil & Gas Industry, or Refinery.
• Excellent coaching skills, with good ability to work effectively with other people and in teams.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English and Chinese.
• Computer software user’s knowledge and experience.
