POSITION ROLE

The Project Team Leader develops the engineering budget for Front End Loading (FEL) and is responsible for the capital investment & cost control as well as the project engineering schedule.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS

· Coordinate process, manufacturing and logistics for all activities for a product launch. Prototype series, Pre-Series, Run at Rate and Production release
· Establish and follow up project time schedules, including resource planning
· Lead team to build and update project planning and follow up action plans

· Arrange project team meeting with team members, distribute project tasks to team members, if need, to make judgment for team.

·Work together with Engineering team for product design and process design related issues
· Handle design reviews for process team and secure manufacturability of product
· Involve in project cost analysis, production cost calculation (cycle time, efficiency, labor)
· Analyze and handle customer requirements including manufacturing, process, logistics
· Work as Technical interface between customer and Design Team.

· Establishes effective communications among the engineering and design members of the Integrated Project Team to ensure alignment around business objectives, project objectives and project scopes.

·Other tasks as directed by Department Manager.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (Skill Set)

·Bachelor’s degree in Vehicle engineering, mechanical engineering and or related engineering field.

·6+ years experience working in R&D environments and 5+ years direct experience in project management.

·Experience in automotive production and new product introduction in Automotive Industry, Familiar with the TS16949.

·Strong leadership skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; willing to delegate.

·Strong in project management and experience of project methodology and processes

·Strong skills in manufacturing engineering
·Concept of product design and process design

·Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

·Results oriented and disciplined to follow project processes and best practices.

·Understanding of the project cost control and estimating techniques.

·Ability to use integrated schedule to establish task sequencing and critical path.

·Working knowledge of MS Office.

·Can using CATIA V5.

·Willingness and ability to mentor/train others as well as willing to learn from others

·Be self-motivated, have strong interest in project engineering as a career, and be able to work effectively in a team environment with people of all levels who are geographically and culturally diverse. The ability to work independently, manage multiple jobs simultaneously, organize work and set priorities is also required. Travel is required a lot. Oversea travel might be required.
