Job duties
Based in Shanghai or Hong Kong, reporting to General Manager Supply Chain in Melbourne, main responsibilities are:
-Offshore Supply chain operational planning and execution to ensure delivery of imported product from origin to DC within agreed timelines and cost
- Offshore Supply chain optimisation of productivity, efficiency and costs to ensure profits from direct import programs are maximised
- Operational Performance management of major service provider contracts (shipping lines, freight forwarder)
- Ensure all offshore data and data flows are optimised to support import administrative processes (customs, quarantine and vendor payments) at destination
- Develop international logistics infrastructure to support Kmart’s business direction and model
- Drive innovation and drive best practise in offshore international supply chain
- Identify and implement value added services at source that drive end to end supply chain efficiencies and increase customer service
- Continuously seek ways to improve DIFOT and speed to market at the lowest cost
- Manage relationships with international logistics third party providers (shipping lines, freight forwarders, airfreight and value added service providers)
- Develop strong international logistics skills throughout the team in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Delhi & Dhaka
- Leadership and management of international teams

Requirements
- International supply chain operations management. Deep understanding of retail supply chain logistics particularly in China and Asia
- Leadership of cross functional, multi -country teams
- Project Management
- Delivery of significant charge management project
- Experience in retail supply chains in the Far East
- Tertiary qualified in business, logistics or similar
- Excellent commercial and financial analysis skills
- Excellent administration process management skills
- Overseas experience
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organisation and external parties
