Job Description
The successful candidate will:
Work as a sales engineer to support the business development of the WKFS suite if Risk Management, Financial Management and regulatory Compliance solutions. The role of senior technical pre-sales engineer is accountable to deliver technical support throughout the sales cycle to the sales and pre-sales team. This includes the following responsibilities:
? Be responsible for clear communication and demonstration of product capabilities to clients and prospects
? Have the technical ability to construct and present demonstration systems that fully represent the power of our solutions
? Be able to analyse regulatory change and translate that into technical specifications for upgraded or new products
? Review and construct responses to technical RFI, RFP questions and other statements of user requirements
? Participate in Proof of Concept projects at client sites and the preparation of the PoC
? Work closely with sales teams and subject matter experts
? Provide support through all stages of the sales process
?
Qualifications and Skillset
Education:
? Master’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science
Essential:
? 8+ years working experience in financial systems solutions
? A sound knowledge of financial instruments
? Strong working knowledge of databases (SQL Server/ORACLE)
? Strong knowledge of ETL and Data Warehousing technologies along with Data Modelling best practices
? Ability to design mappings for Data Capture, Staging, Cleansing, Transforming, Loading
? Technical proficiency from hands-on experience with IT systems
? Experience in report building (e.g. SSRS, BI tools,...)
? Fluency in Mandarin and English, written and oral
Desirable:
? Expertise/familiarity with one or more of Asset & Liability Management, Liquidity Risk, Basel II/III, Credit & Market Risk, Fund Transfer Pricing and IFRS
? Banking Systems experience such as Bank GL, Hyperion, Oracle Financial Suite, SAP…
? Prior technical exposure to data Extraction, Transformation and Loading tools
? Data management skills with Oracle, SQL Server or similar financial databases
Personal qualifications:
? An interest in the banking environment
? A good team player, who is eager to learn and to work autonomously in an international environment
? Adaptable to change and feeling at ease in a quickly evolving environment
? Committed to accuracy and completeness
? Willing to travel
? Customer- and service-minded with good communication skills
