Remote Applications Engineer

We are looking for an ambitious Remote Applications Engineer for our Optical Products Business Unit, to drive further growth. The successful candidate will have good electronics knowledge, communication skills and be comfortable working in an agile, fast paced international organization. He/she will join our Shanghai team providing technical support to Chinese customers as well as developing reference designs and evaluation kits.

He/she should have high interest in integrated sensors in CMOS for automotive, medical, industrial and consumer applications. Experience with optical or thermal sensors or systems is a plus, but not a must. Have wireless experience will be priority.

· Work directly with the engineering teams at the customers from evaluation to production.

· Develop hardware and embedded software for customer demos, evaluation kits, reference designs and write application notes and FAQ.

· Share proactively and cross-sites the acquired know-how about product issues, market trends, customer solutions and the competition

· Support the Quality Team and customer in the Failure Analysis process and analyze potential quality problems and communicate timely with the customer.

Technical competencies

Experience in:(Have wireless experience will be priority).

· Electronics (Schematic Capture, PCB design, Component selection etc…) in order to develop and support evaluation kits and reference designs;

· Software Programming (MatLab, C, Labview, Python…);

· Simulation tool (Reference Design, Tolerances Stack Up,…)

· Have working knowledge and familiarity around chip development, manufacturing processes and practices (e.g. chip packaging, soldering,…)

We expect

· University Engineering degree in electronics

· 2-3 years of relevant experience in electronics design

· Fluent in English – Other customer languages are a plus

· Strong communication skills
