JOB DESCRIPTION

Business Analyst – will be core team member for the implementation of Enterprise Logistic Management System which includes Oracle Transportation Management system and Oracle Demantra system etc. The position will be a focal point to business customers for requirements gathering, and will ensure their needs are clearly understood and translated into system requirements. The position will collaborate with outside consultants to make sure all system requirements are well understood and transferred into functional specification. The position will also coordinate with other global cross functional teams including data architects and development teams to assess the technical feasibility of the requirements develop the solutions and support systems testing.

Job Responsibilities

1 Focus on requirements gathering, documentation, designing and implementing business solutions to meet business requirements for the Enterprise Logistic Management System.

2 Work with the business users and outside consultant to translate business requirements into technical specifications and design solutions.

3 Proactively advice on sales planning and order transportation process optimization with the best practice in the industry

4 Participate in all phases of IT project life cycle, i.e. user requirements definition; risk assessment; systems analysis and design activities; application programming and testing; training and documentation; software package selection and implementation.

5 Resolves problems occurring with existing systems, consistently following change control procedures.

6 Building and maintaining appropriate client relationships, at all levels, during delivery of project.

7 Maintaining high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.

8 Contact related supplier to solve problem in case malfunction occurs on application.

9 Trouble-shooting of functionality, defects, reports, new user setup, data inquiries and other ad-hoc requests.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1 Minimum Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in an Information Technology or Business Systems related discipline.

2 Above 5 years working experience as business analyst in a large scale MNC environment.

3 Broad business knowledge in logistic/distribution/sales, good business sense on lowering transportation costs, improves customer service and asset utilization, or on demand management, sales planning.

4 3+ years of demonstrated experience in analysis/design/test /implementation and administration of a large scale business system.

5 Proven ability to operate independently as well as within a team environment. Must be able to work with technical and non-technical staff at all levels. Skilled in interpreting customer requirements and proactively turning them into solutions.

6 Strong communications skills both orally and written. Ability to write reports, procedure manuals and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

7 Solid skill and knowledge in one or more of following systems /development platforms (Oracle related business system is a must, )

* Forecasting system (Oracle Demantra is prefer)

* Transportation planning and execution system (Oracle Transportation Management is prefer)

* ERP

* MS SQL and Oracle Database

* BI reporting system (Oracle Business Intelligence, SQL Reporting Service )

8 Willing to work in a fast pace , dynamic and high pressure working environment while providing timely, effective and accurate deliverables

9 Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

10 Ability to work successfully in a cross-functional team environment.

11 Strong written and verbal communication with solid presentation skills are a must.

12 Excellent time management skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-tasks

13 Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision (i.e. self-motivated and willing to stretch to meet important deadlines)

14 Fluent in English.
