Job description
The GCG Communications Solutions Business Development Executive is responsible for selling IBM Telecommunications solution offerings to Communication Service Providers (CSP) throughout GCG region, with a focus on smarter network and smarter services solutions, this role The Solution BDE Engages with Client LoB executives and IBM GTS/GBS/SWG/STG Engagement teams to develop and progress large Smarter Planet Industry Solutions opportunities, and to bring IBM's Telecom Industry PoV and Industry Value Propositions to long term services opportunities. The BDE will be measured by individual contribution to Smarter Planet long term signings and GCG telco industry focused solution signings The Solutions BDE is the expert in CSP solution offerings within GCG. This Sales Professional leads multi-functional teams to develop and close complex, leading-edge, high-value industry specific solution opportunities, planning and leading engagements with the highest levels of customer management. The role is accountable for the results in GCG for specific industry solutions. This professional anticipates, creates and defines innovative solution sales strategies and customer solutions in a specific industry account context, with executive review, and provides input to development of industry offerings, and is considered as an expert and leader inside and outside IBM. This professional conveys total business value of a solution offering to the client, develops winning proposals and performs successful negotiations, and utilizes IBM organization to sell solutions portfolio.

Demonstrates in-depth understanding of Smarter Communications solutions Conveys total business value of a solution offering to the client Develops winning proposals and performs successful negotiations Required: Demonstrates deep telco industry knowledge Identifies and discusses issues with client Develops and maintain client relationships Utilizes IBM organization to sell solutions portfolio Uses a consultative selling approach Dedicated primarily to an industry at the IOT level Engages prioritized client solution opportunities Focused on selected Business Solution portfolio and with a stronger focus on smarter planet industry plays (Smarter City, Smarter Analytics)
