About AGES
Advanced Global Education Strategies (AGES) is a startup company seeking individuals who have a deep interest in developing leadership skills and wish to become part of a management team at a dynamic international startup, based out of Beijing, China.
Our vision is to create an employee centric company with a non-hierarchical management style that enables 100% of the staff to be passionate 85% of the time. This vision is not easily achieved especially when having to operate under the constraint of profitability. To realize this vision we need a group of individuals committed to the creation of unique management tools, and business models.
We’ve developed two major drivers that can help us to achieve this goal. The first driver is the use of positive psychology to build and develop a team where each individual's passion, skills and values are aligned with our company's values and strategic vision. The second driver requires us to develop a unique activity-based cost accounting system that incorporates motivational metrics where each person can measure their passion for a particular activity and link it with the value it creates. Together we analyze these activities from an economic and psychological perspective to make decisions and develop strategy.
To develop this unique management system further we need people who have the courage and self-awareness to know what they enjoy doing, as well as their commitment to growing value through mastering their skills in the fields of positive psychology, motivational measurement, statistical analysis, economics, education and/ or international business.

Business Development Director/Representative
AGES is currently looking for a business development director to help us build partnerships between high schools in Canada and China, with hopes of expanding to other parts of North America. Through these partnerships, we facilitate the exchange of not only students, but also cultures ideas and expertise, thereby promoting international education in several respects.
Responsibilities:
- work alongside the international representative of the city of Port Alberni, Canada to strategize expansion of operations in their education sector.
- Establish and maintain a network of contacts in the Chinese education sector.
- Promote cross-Pacific education exchange by creating partnerships between Chinese and North American schools.
Necessary Qualifications:
- Fluency in Mandarin and English.
- Authorization to work in China.
- Holds degree outside of China.
- Willing to travel (within China, and potentially overseas).
Preferred Qualifications
-2+ year in Sales, BD, or role in which negotiation and communication are central.
-Bachelor’s or Master’s attained in North America.
