· Active role in designing gifting, stationery, packaging, displays and paper related products as well as some traditional graphic design work.

· Be creative with an eye for shape, materials, and color.

· Identify and develop commercial design concepts, range and product templates from creative briefs.

· Assist in identifying and coordinating seasonal trends and color palettes.

· Possess a multi-disciplinary outlook, have strong visualization skills, commercially minded with an interest in design futures, trends and forecasting.

· Willing to explore new ideas, communicative, and is self-motivated.

· Understand/communicate unique design language of customer brands, displaying a strong awareness of commercial viability.

· Evaluate the interest in the way people choose products.

· Understand/explore different materials especially paper and the products feasibility of production.

· Ability to produce design propositions based on factors such as appearance, design function, materials, and market characteristics, methods engineering and buyers specifications.

· Have excellent communication and organizational skills.

· Ensure all work is created in accordance to the company’s visual quality and technical standards.

Requirements:

· Proficient in CS6 with expert skills in Adobe creative suite Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

· Degree or Diploma in Visual Communication.

· 2+ years’ commercial experience in a design related role.

· Possess strong attention to detail and consistently produce high quality standards.

· Ability to operate/troubleshoot equipment/devices and software.

· Scanning and color corrections skills.

· Skillful in interpersonal relationships.

· Proven organizational, prioritization and time management skills.

· A demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.

· Capable of effectively handling multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines.

· Experience in illustrating and painting are assets.

· Applicants living in Shanghai preferred.
