FTDI requires an experienced applications engineer with strong technical ability, excellent communication skills, and a strong track record of customer supporting activities.

As a key member of the FTDI SH team, he or she will be a bridge between the R&D and Design teams, the worldwide sales and marketing organisation, and customers. Although the role is primarily based in the SH office, few travel will be required.


Responsibilities:
+ Full technical support for customer's design-in, and mass production issues.
+ Identifying and driving technical actions to close design wins.
+ Co-work to marketing staffs to identify a developing new market applications.
+ Communicating with the R&D team for field application and project support update.
+ Writing of Application notes and developing sample MCU code
+ Assist FAE staffs to support complex technical issues.

Skills:
-Degree major in EE or equivalent is essential.
-Understanding of USB, UART, I2C and SPI (protocols and applications) would be advantageous.
- FAE career experience would be advantageous but not essential.
- MCU development experience in C
- Display user interface developement experience would be a plus
- Ability to program in C# and Visual C++ would be advantageous
- Embedded S/W or application development on Android and Linux,
- Ability to plan and manage tasks.
- Hardware debugging skills.
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English
