We are recruiting a Virologist/Molecular Biologist at the associate level.
The job is in Novartis (Shanghai), located at the Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park , Pudong, Shanghai.
The position requires the candidate having a MS with 5+ years working experience or PHD with research in virology, molecular biology and biochemistry areas. Candidates with experiences in DNA viruses and interests in Epigenetic research are preferred. The candidates should have broad knowledge in virus biology and viral diseases, molecular virology systems and gene expression regulation. He/she should have an excellent publication record; possess good communication and inter-personal skills.
Novartis is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies and the first company to establish an R&D center in China. We are developing medicine with focuses on diseases that are prevalent in China. Currently we have about 200 people in R&D including biology, medicinal chemistry, biomarker discovery as well as biologics and Vaccine & Diagnostics. The company is building a research campus which will hold up to 3000 people once it is completed. It will be Novartis’s third largest campus after Cambridge, MA and Basel.
