PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position is to operate as a Senior Software Engineer - Team Lead in the Symmetrix Engineering organization of the Enterprise Storage Division.

The successful candidate will augment an existing Beijing-based application development team and assist with a wide variety of tasks that support various business functions; To broaden the scope of current metric data acquisition, conduct operational reporting and expand our business intelligence efforts supporting the product organization's Engineering division.

We are looking for developer with leadership aspirations and a passion for delivering technically challenging, high-integrity information for strategic decision support, tackling highly complex problems of scale and high data volume. Candidates must have a strong understanding of algorithms and data structures and have a proven record of "getting things done."

Essential Skills/Qualifications:
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Proven experience to work effectively in a geographically distributed team
? Intimately familiar with db technologies, specifically Oracle and SQL Server
? Operational knowledge of .Net Framework, WebServices, AJAX, jQuery, Linq and familiar with Silverlight, Flash or HTML5 development
? A background in multivariate statistics, data mining and analytics
? Fluent with Microsoft Office products

? Project Management skills to drive and deliver industry-leading solutions
? Experience with commercial data visualization software packages
? Ownership for the requirements definition and design for major features
? Author functional and technical specifications
? Supervise the design and coding standards for software development
? Understanding of agile development and methodologies
? Debugging skills and problem solving ability
? Analytical and methodical leadership skills

Education:
? Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.

Experience Required:
? 4 years of relevant industry experience
