Role Purpose:

HSBC Markets & Securities Services IT (MSS IT) department provides leading technology solutions to support and empower its Markets and Securities Services business worldwide. Within the department, MSS Operations Tech AI & ML team is responsible for driving the AI / ML and any other innovative technology solutions to enable Operations optimization and transformation globally.
We are looking for a talented and experienced MLOps Engineer to join our team. As an MLOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our machine learning (ML) infrastructure, streamlining the ML pipeline, and ensuring the smooth deployment of ML models in a production environment. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize the ML workflow and improve the overall efficiency of our ML projects.
Job Duties:
？ Design, develop, and maintain machine learning infrastructure, including data ingestion, storage, and processing systems.
？ Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to implement and optimize ML models, ensuring they are production-ready.
？ Develop and maintain ML pipelines for training, validating, and deploying ML models.
？ Monitor ML models in production, ensuring their performance meets expectations and addressing any issues that arise.
？ Develop and implement best practices for versioning, testing, and deploying ML models.
？ Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to maintain the health and performance of ML infrastructure.
？ Optimize the ML workflow by automating repetitive tasks and improving resource utilization.
？ Continuously research and stay up-to-date with the latest MLOps tools, technologies, and best practices.
？ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize new features and improvements for the ML infrastructure.
？ Provide technical guidance and support to data scientists and engineers as needed.
？ Communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders

Job Opportunity
Candidate Specifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field
2. Excellent programming skills in Python, at least 5 years of experience in Python development
3. Proven experience in MLOps, DevOps, or a similar role, preferably with a focus on machine learning or artificial intelligence projects.
4. Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, data processing, and model evaluation techniques.
5. Experience with ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
6. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
9. Able to work under pressure and demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm and rapid learning capability.
10. Willing to work with overseas teams.
