The key duties and responsibilities for the position are as follows:
1. Quality Assurance and Quality Control Management
Manage QA/QC team in China including work load management and scheduling
On-going review and documentation of QA and QC Processes including process roll-out to wider team
Manage QA/QC Cost Budgets
On-going review and latest Testing requirements and standards within relevant categories across all markets
Manage relationships with 3rds Party Testing and Audit companies
Manage releationships with Customer QA and QC Teams
2. Quality Assurance and Quality Control
Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Coordinate, overview product compliance with evidence the product meets the essential regulations and harmonized standard
Interpret, build upon and comply with company quality assurance standard
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Suggest solutions to identified product problems
Collaborate with the Product Development Team to ensure consistent product execution
Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement
Oversee continuous improvement projects
Prepare factory for audit (pre-audit activities) and assist during audit process
Investigate audit non-conformances and complete closures on time
Assist and advise potential risk before submitting audit reports to customer
Pre-qualify new factories from a purely Quality Compliance perspective

Where required, conduct Quality Control inspections before, during and after production
3. New Product Development Support
Coordinate communication and activities between Designers and Product Development Manager and Factory Engineers to develop and improve production designs, including proto-typing and initial sampling
Factory visits at each milestone as directed by Product Development Manager to ensure factory complies with the requirements
Assist Operations Manager and Operations Coordinator in the request for quote process
Coordinate and facilitate communication between Designers/Product Development, QA, Factory and Shanghai office
Document and Review Bill of Materials where required
Hand over project to Shanghai Team after 1st Production
4. Project Management
As required, or requested by the business, lead and manage projects both within and outside the areas of direct control
5. OH&S Risk Management
Model a safe environment in accordance with Toymonster’s commitment to Occupational health and safety by ensuring the following:
The practice of all staff is always within the organisational OH&S guidelines, Legislative Regulations and codes of practice requirements.
Committment to and demonstration of working knowledge of area specific OH&S procedures.
Reporting all incidents and actively assisting in their investigation in pursuit of hazard resolution and prevention of workplace injuries.
Assisting in the promotion of a behaviour based safety culture within the business unit.
Participating in mandatory education requirements such as emergency preparedness and manual handling.

Experience / Knowledge
(Years/ Industry Sector) ? Experience in managing QA and QC for Consumer Electrical Products
Experience in Managing a small team
Proven working relationship with 3rd Party Testing Labs and Audit Companies
Proven experience in doing CI Initiatives
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage factory relationships on a day to day basis
Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate deadlines with suppliers
Demonstrated ability and drive to comply with standard processes and company policies
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new information skills
Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers
Demonstrated ability to adjust to change within a volatile working environment
Demonstrated ability to accept responsibility both at an individual and team level
Demonstrated ability to plan and co-ordinate individual workloads
Demonstrated ability and willingness to perform as part of a team
Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines
Demonstrate ability to develop and implement new initiatives that improve the department/company
