Job Purpose
? The mission of the Plant Manager / Site lead is to ensure adequate service levels for the Wild Flavors Business in terms of production, quality, costs - while ensuring full compliance in safety and food safety -developing an customer oriented operations- having active talent management in place.
Your Responsibilities
Operational Management :
? Ensure that functional task is executed as per guidelines (safety, environment, health, working routines according to China and ADM standards, food quality)
? Ensure that all key positions are filled, and that succession plan is in place
? Ensure best in class service level (e.g. production according to plan, quality spec.)
? Implement, follow up on local KPI dashboard including corrective action proposals
? Drive regular meetings with local Plant Leadership team, Supply Chain peers in order to share operational up-date and leverage continuous improvement processes to enhance operational capabilities
? Drive together with Regional end2end SC Manager, local Peers (Quality, Engineering, etc.) service roadmap and assess operational/Financial implications
? Liaise with Functional heads (other plants, other business units) for operational synergies and develop adapted service agreements
? Regularly assess outsourced vs insourced operations in terms of cost and efficiency and recommend corrective actions including cost impacts
? Ensure Budget planning and monthly follow-up, continuous improvement plans for service level and cost optimization are in place and are execute according to plan
? Develop mid- and long-term strategy for Plant Development in line with market dynamics; anticipate future changes and align with other departments on concrete actions
? Enhance contact to other Plants within ADM Wild Flavors and other ADM entities to collaborate in area of successful practice sharing and execution of cross functional - cross-business unit improvements
Ensure through Quality Team - CoE:
? Implement corporate vision and strategy
? Drive strategic initiatives leading to continuous improvement in performance
? Ensure that the Plant Quality Management System is consistently aligned with CoE
? Monitor and contribute to reducing complaint level in the market
? Drive the execution of defined and aligned improvements in sustainable quality activities
? Evaluate, design and drive the business continuity plan
? Ensure product compliance
Collaborate with Procurement Team:
? Support appropriate selection of suppliers per category
? Support the agreed service level with internal stakeholders
? Support integration of innovation elements form suppliers into ADM Innovation processes
Environment Health & Safety (EHS) – CoE
? Responsible for the implementation of Health, Safety & Environment activities according to local legislation and the ADM guidelines
? Active Collaboration with EHS CoE
? Ensure that all Managers and their direct reports are aware of their Health and Safety responsibilities
Your Profile
? Plant Manager experience at local level of at least 5 years (midsized plant ~50HC, food, pharma industry)
? Education: Master's degree, Engineer major will be preferred.
? Experience in change management; Experienced in Food production - in area of B2B business
? Experience in SAP (ideal SAP implementation)
? Process and KPI oriented leader
? Must have a strong work ethic, integrity and total honesty (transparency and trust)
? An entrepreneurial spirit balanced with a focused and detailed execution.
? Strategic mindset with strong analytical skills.
? Open-minded and humble, Learning out of mistakes mindset
