Job Description:
Broad Functions
1. Involved in implementation new hardware system, administrator and maintain all servers.
2. To assist and support of company system requirements
3. Perform systems monitoring and preventive maintenance tasks
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
This job is responsible for delivering the organization outcome as stated:
1. To involve in the implementation, maintenance IT system.
2. Monitor server’s system performance and resource utilization (Windows and Linux)
3. To recommend solution to improve or enhance server system performance
4. Ensure the daily operation of computer administration such as backups for Windows and Linux; report generation and computer equipment tracking are performed.
5. To maintain and housekeep the Data Center.
6. To support and implementation software and hardware upgrade as and when necessary.
7. Ensure the safety aspects of the work area under his / her supervision
8. Implement special projects which are systems related
Authority:
In order for the incumbent to deliver the expected outcome, the incumbent is authorized to perform the following:
1. Perform assigned work to achieve deliverables committed to organization goals in accordance to this job description and in compliance with work rules and ethics and compliance policies of the Company
2. Report anomaly or non-compliance in relation to Ethics and Compliance policies of the Company
3. Report near-miss, close-call and work safety violations in relation to workplace health and safety regulations
4. Report product / production irregularity, anomaly, defectives in relation to product quality assurance
Qualifications & Job Specification:
Education Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree Computer Science or Information Technology
Experience Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree Computer Science or Information Technology with 7 years of experience System administration functions or
Other Requirements
1. Personal computer workstation and peripherals troubleshooting and simple repair
2. Software and hardware evaluation and purchase recommendation
3. Attend relevant work-related seminars or product review
4. Recovery of the file system and user data in the event of data corruption
5. To support other IT staff in the system integration, implementation and other IT related matters.
6. Test and install security patches to all systems.
Key Competencies
Knowledge:
- Experience using Vmware service
- MS window server experience
- SCCM patch management
- HPE and Dell hardware support.
Skills:
- Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software and programming
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Good organization, time management and prioritization
- Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening
Abilities:
- Efficient troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to Work Under Pressure
