职位描述
Fashion Retailer buying office is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist for textile products. The candidate will be located in Shanghai sourcing office and will be reporting directly to Quality Manager. （More than 80% time working in the Shanghai Office， English is a MUST)
The main responsibility will be to assist development of products and support the quality assurance during the different stages of production, meeting the Quality protocols and Company's procedures.
JOB SUMMARY
This position refers to provide support to commercial teams for the quality tasks, adding a technical profile to the teams that enable that these tasks are carried out more efficiently and anticipating possible problems, guiding our merchandisers and suppliers when a quality problem is identified and proposing possible solutions, with the final objective that all products comply with the European legislation including national deviations, as well as with the internal quality procedures of the company defined by Quality Dept.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Explain suppliers the steps of the quality procedure at the beginning of a new project in order to anticipate future problems.
2. Ensure that suppliers meet all requirements on regards of product development and quality assurance evaluating samples from a quality point of view.
3. Actively work with procurement team, to ensure merchandise supply quality.
4. Effectively co-work with Designers, Merchandisers, and buyers by knowledge-based leadership.
5. In plant sampling management and in-plant quality check. Support quality inspections performed by 3rd parties.
6. New supplier's development in terms of product quality assurance and development.
7. Develop, review, and concur quality related SOP and procurement operations.
8. Maintain updated the databases for the office internal system and report any issues within them.
9. Support Quality team in other duties/projects
Required Experience/skills:
- Degree in fashion textile, and/or development of textile products.
- At least 5 years' experience of quality assurance, good understanding of quality system regulations and requirements, and ability to assess and implement quality assurance systems.
- 3 years’ experience in apparel industry, well understanding of the product develop and manufacture procedures. Has in-depth mastery of apparel industry quality standards.
- Previous experience as QA or with inspections companies is a plus
- Excellent internal communication skills.be able to drive internal changes, strong external management skills, with experience of dealing with Designers and Merchandisers. Basic understating of English and Spanish (as a plus).
- Computer skills and MS office applications.
- Adobe Illustrator or similar software knowledge is a plus.
- Willing to learn and to perform under pressure.
- Proactive and autonomous
- High integrity and good communication skills
- Experience on Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing is a plus
- Good knowledge of the European / American standards and testing process is a plus
