职位描述
A. Responsibility
1, From 0 to 1, create, nurture and shape Covestro’s business in Electric Vehicle Battery Packaging (EVBP) industry, by entrepreneurship in APAC (EVBP is a brand new business for Covestro and APAC/China).
2, Clarify industry potential, market trends and customers’ pain points; identify business opportunities; set up a healthy project pipeline; develop the projects, specifications and sales focus in APAC.
3, Play the role of global SAM of BYD: Develop account strategy (3-5 years) in line with EVBP and Mobility industries. Develop relationships with the key decision makers in BYD and related value chain. Manage the customers’ project pipeline and the process of material specification globally. Well communicate the account strategy with internal functions. Build and lead internal (virtual) core account team. Monitor global quantitative demand created by material specification.
4, Nurture deep relationships with other important EVBP customers such as CATL, GAC and Haiyuan. Develop and manage relationships with key value chain players including Auto OEMs, Tier Companies, Battery producers, Molders, distributors and third-party technology providers.
5, Implement open innovation with customers to develop new applications and products, together with Covestro R&D colleagues.
6, Develop EVBP projects with Japanese customers (From 0 to 1).
7, Lead product launch activities and creatively promote Covestro in this fast growing industry (e.g. the promotion activities through digital platform).
8, Identify Electrical Vehicle related Regulations, Standards and Government Incentive Programs in APAC Countries, together with Advocacy team. Work out the best solutions to promote Covestro.
B. Qualifications
1, Entrepreneurship; be able to quickly adapt in the VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) environment; self-motivated and no fear of failure.
2, Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Science.
3, At least 10-year work experience in Material, Electrical or Automotive Industries, particularly in Sales, Marketing or Market Development functions.
4, Solid experience in coordinating multiple tasks with limited time and resources in complex environments and under high pressure.
5, Strong initiative and ability to prioritize workload effectively.
6, Leadership and excellent communication capabilities.
7, Ability to travel frequently.
8, Languages: Chinese and English are must; Japanese is highly welcome.
