- Smart Metering Technical Sales - drive pre-sales process to achieve assigned sales target and develop sustainable sales pipeline for end-to-end smart metering solution business through pro-active activities, e.g. customer presentations and communications, tender & bidding management and proposal development in the most effective and innovative manner.
What are my responsibilities?
- Evaluate, qualify and prioritize opportunities, particularly those coming from SG division sales team or other units.
- Organize quality materials to present smart metering technical solutions to customers, alliances, sales staff and other stakeholders. Be able to interactive efficiently.
- Analyze customer business and technical requirements and ensure the solution design is aligned accordingly. Be able to effectively communicate the requirements internally.
- Drive tender and bid process and proposal development; ensure timely, high quality submission to customer.
- Continuous Knowledge acquisition.
Working Partners/Contacts:
- Internal contact: division sales team, solution architects, R&D and commercial departments, etc.
- External contact: customers, tending agencies, suppliers, partners, etc.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Bachelors or above degree in Engineering or relevant discipline, major in Electric Automation/Computer Science/Software Engineering preferred.
- Well developed sales skills for IT services and/or solution business
- Experiences with smart meter and last mile communication technology
- Experiences with enterprise software projects including utility front/back office application integration
- Ability to comprehend complex and interdependent business processes
- Experiences work with utility billing, customer, and/or operations business process and practices
- Fundamental understanding of Smart Grid technology
- Experienced in business process analysis and data modeling
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of customers, partners, and colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to architect and deliver solutions with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel to customer sites and other business related travel, up to 70%
- Knowledge of Utility market structures and business processes
- Experiences in technical pre-sales desirable, experiences in tendering and bidding desirable, experiences with IT implementation projects preferable
- Familiarity with Smart Grid initiatives and regulation in China and NEA
- Systems integration experience is a plus
- Experience with AMI Head End Systems, MDMS and metering technology
