Position  Summary 职位概述

    

    

Senior Strategic Buyer is responsible for the spend  management of assigned categories/sub-categories, which includes supply market  analysis, sourcing strategy definition & execution, supplier base buildup,  supplier relationship management, material cost control, saving roadmap and  other strategic focus.


Main  Responsibilities 主要职责

    

Strategic  Tasks:

    

  • Develop a thorough understanding of spend and supplier base in       terms of assigned categories/sub-categories (cylindrical turning       parts/synthetic parts etc)
  • Collaborate with the Global Category Leader and Sub category leader,       implement global category strategy ensuring proper alignment with       stakeholders’ needs.
  • Identify opportunities that focus on cost reductions, improvement       of supply chain efficiency. Innovate and realize the saving roadmap.       Initialize the saving projects/initiatives and drive the results of       project quality/delivery/Total Cost Ownership.
  • Plan, set up and optimize the effective supplier base for       production site needs.
  • Establish and optimize constructive working relationship with other       functions.
  • Present       and deliver in commodity sourcing meetings (e.g. councils) in global       sourcing community.
  • Manage       the supply chain risk; foresee, mitigate and dispose on time the high       risks in supply chain.

    

Execution Tasks:

    

  • Work as the key actor to drive activities along the sourcing       process.
  • Ensure the compliance of sourcing activities, innovate/optimize the       sourcing process and tools.
  • Execute the cost reduction projects according to the saving       roadmap. Assure the results of projects meeting/exceeding the strategy and       roadmap.
  • Drive the global supplier relationship management including regular       business reviews, contract negotiation with selected partner/supplier by       respecting policies.
  • Conduct the supplier pre-assessment and support on audit. Lead on       the supplier selection.
  • Participate the Make-or-Buy decision of sub-systems, parts and       components.

    

Supporting Tasks:

    

  • Support on       supplier performance improvement.
  • Support on emergency deposition of supply chain.
  • Support on sourcing compliance management and internal audit.

    

Analysis and Reporting Tasks:

    

  • Ensure accuracy of spend map and saving roadmap. Innovate and       effectively act the commercial data analysis.
  • Verify the system data and identify/report the discrepancy. Analyze       the impact of system data change.
  • Deliver the accurate & complete sourcing reports on time as       required.
  • Root cause analysis and taking actions for discrepancy of reports.

  • Master with concept and knowledge of strategic sourcing for       assigned categories/sub-categories, including strategy analysis tools,       market data collection, supplier capability/capacity review, SRM, supply       risk management, etc.
  • Solid knowledge and experiences in BSL supplier base of assigned       categories/sub-categories.
  • Excellent data analysis capability and basic knowledge of financial       analysis.
  • ERP user, i.e. SAP

  • Strong global mindset, excellent business skill, leadership, proactive,       self-driven and result oriented.
  • Work on high pressure and take/lead challenges for results by means       of proper and appropriate skills.

  • 5-year-experience or more in strategic sourcing/purchasing of       assigned categories/sub-categories.
  • Associate and/or bachelor is required, major in engineering/industry       is a plus, master in engineering/industry or management is a plus as well.
