SUMMARY: Identify, plan, and execute the procurement of raw materials with precision. Ensure that cost effective, quality products are delivered on time to meet customers' requirements. Follow company policy, purchasing strategy to achieve KPI.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
? Utilize ERP System to procure materials for manufacturing production consistent with cost, quality, delivery and inventory control expectations.
? Own the purchasing of the major commodities (PCB, IC, or major Mechanical supplier)
? Work with cross functional departments with regard to the disposition of obsolete, excess, and defective material.
? Resolve unclear packing slips, invoices and other associated documents to insure prompt availability of material and timely payments to vendors.
? Supplier performance management (especially supplier OTD)
? Assist manager in acquiring information needed for analyzing the performance and efficiency of the department.
? Work with the sourcing/commodity management team to establish/optimize/implement the supplier replenishment program (VMI, JIT, KANBAN etc.)
? Perform special assignments, as directed by manager.
? Other duties as assigned by the Manager
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ? MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Business is required. Five or more years of procurement experience is required for this position, assuming educational requirements are met. Equivalent industry experience of three or more years is highly desirable. APICS CPIM certification preferred.
? LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to ready, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Demonstrated negotiation skills. Ability to analyze and interpret complex drawings and technical data.

? REASONING ABILITY: Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

? OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Strong ERP knowledge, at least five years experience in operating the global ERP system (Oracle, SAP, QAD etc.), QAD experience is preferred. Strong project planning skills required. Ability to operate a computer and use word processing, spread sheet, and database software. Knowledge of negotiation processes and demonstrated customer interaction skills valuable for the position. Must be highly independent and results oriented, with knowledge of corporate processes in design, quality and manufacturing to maximize department resource return on investment.
